SWBP Rigid Substrate Library

Popular substrates that SWBP has in stock. Please inquire about specialty substrates to give your project that extra unique look.

Coroplast® is ideal for indoor and outdoor graphic applications. Tougher than corrugated fiberboard, lighter than solid extruded plastic. It is waterproof, weather resistant and stain resistant. Coroplast can be used with step stakes to provide very economical outdoor signage.

Fome-Cor® Board

Fome-Cor® Board is the industry’s leading paper-faced foam board for more than 40 years. It is comprised of extruded polystyrene foam with clay-coated white or black paper facers. Made In USA.

Canvas Foam Board

Canvas Foam Board is standard foam board that has a canvas surface to it. A very inexpensive way of achieving that canvas painted look on a substrate that is very light weight.

Ultra Board

Ultra Board is designed for interior use and is favored for its durability. The dent-resistant styrene liners are secured to the foam center with a remarkable bond that keeps the panel flat and rigid.

Gatorfoam® is the industry’s leading heavy-duty foam board for more than 30 years. It is comprised of extruded polystyrene foam bonded between two layers of wood-fiber veneer. Made In USA.

Falconboard® Build paper-based graphics board is structurally engineered with the rigidity and high dimensional stability needed for demanding three-dimensional point-of-purchase applications.

MDO Plywood

Medium Density Overlay (MDO) Plywood (also called signboard) are engineered wood panels, originally designed for sign makers. However, they are gaining popularity for other purposes. MDO surface is a hardwood plywood with resin soaked fiber overlays between the veneer layers and on both surfaces. The top veneer layer on both sides is “A” grade, providing for an extremely smooth surface.

High Impact Styrene

High Impact Styrene These sheets are used in a wide variety of applications including thermoforming, fabricating, printing (silk-screen, flexographic, lithographic, and register grade).

White Rigid Vinyl

White Rigid Vinyl is a plastic stock (PVC) that is popular due to its flexibility, thin gauges, durability, and value. Great for cards, a point of purchase signage, shelf danglers, promotional items, menus, displays, and counter mats.

Sintra® is the industry’s leading PVC board for more than 20 years. It is comprised of moderately expanded closed-cell polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in a homogenous sheet with a low-gloss matte finish. Made In USA.

Acrylic is a useful, clear plastic that resembles glass, but has properties that make it superior to glass in many ways.

Dibond®, the Ultimate Substrate, is a rigid, durable aluminum composite material consisting of two pre-painted sheets of .012-inch aluminum bonded to a solid polyethylene core that is a unique composition that makes it approximately one-half the weight of aluminum. Dibond® is an excellent replacement for aluminum, MDO, plywood, thick gauge plastics, and some laminated fluted/solid core sheets.

Palight® Outdoor is a versatile, lightweight and durable foamed PVC sheet that is ideal for outdoor signage and display applications. PALIGHT offers an excellent wood grain finish, is half the weight of solid PVC sheets and is the same thickness at a lower cost. Excellent for signs, displays, exhibition boards, models, partitions, wall cladding, and exterior decoration.

White Aluminum

White aluminum prints maintain the advantages of printing on aluminum but without a metallic look. The white surface creates an excellent canvas for making colors pop while providing that durable feel and look.

Brushed Aluminum

Brushed aluminum can be directly printed on to give images that metallic feel. The brighter parts of the image are not printed at all, meaning the brushed aluminum remains visible and creates a metallic sheen. For a unique presentation, images can be reversed out, using only black ink, creating a simulated etching look. Great for achieving a contemporary look on a very stable base.

Ultra Aluminum

Ultra Aluminum Board provides an aluminum surface for printing while utilizing an extruded black polystyrene foam to give the substrate depth. The end result is combining all of the advantages of printing on an aluminum surface while the black polystyrene foam minimizes the overall weight. It’s essentially gator foam with an aluminum surface.
